POLITICAL ECOLOGY AND FEMINISMS FROM LATIN AMERICA: AN INTERVIEW WITH PAOLA BOLADOS GARCÍA
ECOLOGÍA POLÍTICA Y FEMINISMOS DESDE LATINOAMÉRICA. ENTREVISTA A PAOLA BOLADOS GARCÍA
Isaura Becker and Matías Calderón-Seguel
In this interview, we speak with Professor Paola Bolados García, a feminist researcher and a leading Latin American voice in the field of political ecology and extractivism studies. Professor Bolados reflects on her academic trajectory, her interdisciplinary training, and her engagement with a broad range of themes and approaches—including critical studies of multiculturalism, extractivism, political ecology, feminism, and participatory methodologies. Her work weaves these approaches together through a territorial perspective grounded in a commitment to the well-being of local communities. She concludes by reflecting on her experience as a woman and feminist scholar navigating an academic world marked by gender inequality and often hostile to the critical perspectives she has embraced.
